Access Control & Barrier Systems

A lost key often means a new lock cylinder. With electronic access control you block a credential with a click and decide exactly who may open which door, gate or barrier, and when. We design these systems to be simple in daily use and secured on the network.

Overview

Who may go where, and when: doors, gates and barriers managed centrally and traceably.

We start by reviewing your site: which doors, gates and driveways are there, who needs access and when, and which areas need special protection? From this we develop an access concept with user groups, time profiles and suitable components, from the office door to the underground garage entrance.

Access controllers and intercoms are network devices today. We place them in their own network segments, encrypt the communication between reader and controller where the technology allows, and use credentials that can't easily be copied. After commissioning we can take over maintenance and install updates over secured connections.

Access data is personal data under the GDPR. Together with you we define which events are logged, who may view them and when they are deleted. We take particular care with biometrics and with employees' access data. The legal side of your specific case should be agreed with your legal advisor and, where there is one, the works council.

Your benefits

  • One partner for doors, barriers, network and IT security
  • Block lost cards immediately instead of changing locks
  • Clear rules on who may enter which area, and when
  • Traceable logs for incidents, with defined deletion periods
  • Copy-resistant credentials and secured network communication
  • Expandable from a single door to several sites

Scope of services

What we take care of

  • Card, PIN & smartphone

Access with an encrypted RFID card, key fob, PIN or smartphone. We only include biometrics once data protection has been carefully checked.

  • Door control & locking

Access controllers, electric strikes, motorised locks and door status monitoring. We take escape route requirements into account from the start.

  • Barriers, gates & bollards

Barriers for car parks and underground garages, automatic sliding and swing gates, and bollards for driveways, with controls and safety devices such as photocells.

  • Licence plate recognition (ANPR)

Cameras recognise registered number plates and open the barrier automatically. Time-limited access can be set up for guests.

  • Video intercom & visitors

You see who is at the door, talk to them and open it from the indoor station or your smartphone. There is also visitor management with pre-registration and time-limited passes.

  • Time profiles, logs & integration

Permissions by time and area, traceable event logs and links to video surveillance and the alarm system.

Typical applications

  • Offices and administrative buildings
  • Residential complexes, underground garages and property management
  • Company car parks and driveways
  • Warehousing, logistics and production
  • Medical practices and healthcare facilities
  • Schools and educational institutions
  • Hotels and hospitality
  • Private homes and villas

Technologies & standards

  • RFID cards & key fobs
  • Mobile access (NFC/Bluetooth)
  • OSDP
  • PoE
  • Licence plate recognition (ANPR)
  • SIP door stations
  • VPN remote maintenance

How we work

From assessment to ongoing operation

Every project follows four clear steps. You have one fixed contact person and always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We gather your requirements, visit the site and review your existing systems.

  2. 02

    Concept

You receive a concept with plans, a component list and a transparent quote.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We install and configure carefully, document everything and keep to the agreed schedule.

  4. 04

    Operation

We stay with you after handover, with maintenance, updates and monitoring.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if a card is lost?

You block the card in the software, and after that it no longer opens any door. A new card is issued quickly. There is no costly replacement of lock cylinders, as there would be with lost keys.

Do the doors still work during a power cut or network outage?

We use controllers that store permissions locally and keep working without a connection to the server. For power cuts we plan a backup power supply and decide with you whether each door then stays locked or unlocks. We design escape route doors so that they can always be opened from the inside.

Can I use fingerprint or facial recognition?

Under the GDPR, biometric data is a special category of personal data, so its use is only permitted under strict conditions. A card or smartphone, combined with a PIN if needed, is often enough. We advise you on alternatives. The legal assessment of your specific case should be agreed with your legal advisor.

Can I open the garage gate or barrier with my smartphone?

Yes. Depending on the system, you open it via an app, or licence plate recognition opens it automatically. We set up the connection with encryption and assign permissions to each person individually.

Can an existing system be extended?

Often yes. We check your existing readers, controllers and cabling. You then know what can still be used and where replacement makes sense, for example with outdated cards that are easy to copy.
