Alarm & Intrusion Detection Systems

An alarm system should respond reliably when it matters and stay out of the way the rest of the time. We design intrusion alarm systems that fit your building and your routines, and make sure the networked technology doesn't become a security risk itself.

Overview

Intrusion alarm systems to EN 50131: reliable, easy to use and securely networked.

Every project starts with a site visit. We look at entrances, windows and grounds, discuss your routines and set the appropriate security grade in line with EN 50131. This determines which detectors go where, whether a wired system, a wireless system or a combination makes sense, and where alarms are forwarded.

Modern alarm panels are usually connected to the internet, for the app, for push notifications and for transmission to an alarm receiving centre. We place them in their own network segment, change default credentials, keep firmware up to date and use encrypted transmission paths.

An alarm system needs looking after. As part of maintenance we check detectors, batteries and transmission paths. If rooms or their use change, we adapt the system. On request we link it with video surveillance and access control, for example so that the system arms automatically when the front door is locked.

Your benefits

  • One partner for alarm system, video, network and IT security
  • Security grade matched to your risk, with your insurer's requirements clarified early
  • Fewer false alarms thanks to suitable detectors and video verification
  • Easy operation at the keypad, with a key fob or via the app
  • A hardened alarm panel that doesn't become a way into your network
  • Regular maintenance to keep the system reliable

Scope of services

What we take care of

  • Security concept to EN 50131

We assess the risk on site, choose the appropriate security grade and plan detectors, keypads and cable routes.

  • Indoor detectors

Motion and glass-break detectors plus opening detectors for doors and windows, wired or wireless, matched to room use and to any pets.

  • Outdoor & perimeter protection

Outdoor detectors, infrared beams or fence sensors report intruders before they reach the building.

  • Operation & app control

Arm and disarm at the keypad, with a key fob or via the app, including individual areas, for example only the ground floor at night.

  • Sirens & alarm forwarding

Indoor and outdoor sirens with strobe lights. Alarms are sent over IP and mobile networks to your smartphone or to an alarm receiving centre of your choice.

  • Video verification

Camera images from the moment of the alarm quickly show whether it is a real break-in or a false alarm, for you and for the alarm receiving centre.

Typical applications

  • Private homes, villas and flats
  • Offices and professional practices
  • Shops and hospitality
  • Medical practices and pharmacies
  • Warehouses, workshops and production
  • Schools and educational institutions

Technologies & standards

  • EN 50131
  • EN 50136
  • PIR & dual-technology detectors
  • Wireless (868 MHz)
  • Wired bus systems
  • IP & mobile transmission
  • Tamper & jamming detection
  • Video verification
  • App control

How we work

From assessment to ongoing operation

Every project follows four clear steps. You have one fixed contact person and always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We gather your requirements, visit the site and review your existing systems.

  2. 02

    Concept

You receive a concept with plans, a component list and a transparent quote.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We install and configure carefully, document everything and keep to the agreed schedule.

  4. 04

    Operation

We stay with you after handover, with maintenance, updates and monitoring.

Frequently asked questions

Wired or wireless: which is better?

Both have their place. Wired systems are very robust and are a good choice for new builds and renovations. Modern wireless systems with encrypted transmission and jamming detection can be retrofitted without chasing walls, but need new batteries from time to time. A combination often makes sense.

Who is notified when the alarm goes off?

You decide. The system can notify you and other people via the app or a phone call, or transmit the alarm to a security company's alarm receiving centre, which takes the next steps as agreed. We set up the transmission and coordinate it with the provider of your choice.

How do you avoid false alarms?

With suitable detectors in the right places, careful adjustment during commissioning and a good briefing for everyone who uses the system. Pet-immune motion detectors and video verification also help to tell real alarms from false ones.

How often should an alarm system be serviced?

We recommend at least one service a year. Insurers may set their own requirements, for example on service intervals. It is best to check these in advance so that we can take them into account in planning and maintenance. During a service we check detectors, sirens, batteries and transmission paths and install available updates.

Can I connect the alarm system to my smart home?

Yes. When you arm the system, the lights can switch off and the shutters close, for example. We keep the alarm function itself independent of the smart home system, so that a fault there doesn't affect your security.
