Structured Cabling

Cabling often stays in a building longer than any device connected to it. We plan and install it so that it works reliably today and has spare capacity for future workstations, access points and cameras.

Overview

Copper and fibre cabling built to standard, then tested, labelled and documented.

We support your project from the initial requirements through to handover. Together we decide how many outlets are needed and where, which devices will be powered over PoE and how much spare capacity makes sense. From this we produce the cable route plan, the rack layout and a clear bill of materials.

We design to EN 50173 and ISO/IEC 11801 and install according to EN 50174. We lay copper and fibre cables properly, terminate them cleanly and arrange patch panels and cable management so the rack stays tidy for years. We then test every link and hand over the test reports.

Since we also look after networks, physical security and cyber security, we plan the cabling to suit cameras, access control and Wi-Fi from the start. We check existing cabling for condition and performance and show you what can still be used and where renewal makes sense.

Your benefits

  • One partner for cabling, network and physical security
  • Design and installation to EN 50173 and EN 50174
  • Test reports for every link as traceable proof of quality
  • Spare capacity for extra workstations, access points and cameras
  • Tidy racks and clear labelling make every change easier
  • Complete plans for your IT team and future expansion

Scope of services

What we take care of

  • Requirements & planning

We record outlets, PoE devices and spare capacity. On that basis we plan cable routes, comms rooms and rack layouts.

  • Copper cabling Cat 6A/Cat 7

Shielded installation cable, outlets and patch panels for data rates up to 10 Gbit/s and reliable PoE.

  • Fibre optics

Single-mode and multimode links between floors and buildings, spliced and terminated with suitable connectors.

  • Racks & server cabinets

Lockable network and server cabinets with patch panels, well-planned cable management and room for future expansion.

  • Testing & test reports

We test every link against the limits of the planned performance class and hand over the test reports.

  • Labelling & documentation

Consistent labelling of outlets, ports and cables, plus plans that show which cable goes where.

Typical applications

  • New and refurbished offices
  • Moving into new business premises
  • Medical practices and law firms
  • Schools and educational institutions
  • Warehousing, logistics and production halls
  • Fibre links between buildings
  • Premium private homes and villas

Technologies & standards

  • Cat 6A / Cat 7
  • Fibre OS2 / OM4
  • Fusion splicing
  • LC & SC connectors
  • PoE to IEEE 802.3bt
  • 19-inch racks
  • Permanent link testing
  • EN 50173 / ISO/IEC 11801
  • EN 50174

How we work

From assessment to ongoing operation

Every project follows four clear steps. You have one fixed contact person and always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We gather your requirements, visit the site and review your existing systems.

  2. 02

    Concept

You receive a concept with plans, a component list and a transparent quote.

  3. 03

    Implementation

We install and configure carefully, document everything and keep to the agreed schedule.

  4. 04

    Operation

We stay with you after handover, with maintenance, updates and monitoring.

Frequently asked questions

Cat 6A or Cat 7: which is the right choice?

For most offices and buildings, Class EA cabling with Cat 6A connectivity is the right choice. It carries 10 Gbit/s over up to 100 metres and works well for PoE. We often use Cat 7 as the installation cable, while outlets and patch panels use Cat 6A components. What matters is that all components in a link are matched.

When does fibre make sense?

Fibre suits long distances, links between floors or buildings and anywhere you need high bandwidth or electrical isolation. Copper remains the usual choice for connecting workstations and PoE devices.

Why is testing the cabling so important?

Only testing shows whether each link actually reaches the planned values. Faults in termination or installation are found before they cause problems in operation. The test reports are also a good basis for acceptance and future expansion.

Can our existing cabling still be used?

We check that on site. We look at cable type, condition and existing documentation and test individual links if needed. You then know what can still be used and where renewal makes sense.

Can you work while our business is running?

Yes. We agree the schedule with you and plan switchovers so that your operations are disrupted as little as possible, for example section by section or outside core hours.
